Founder/CEO
Krystal P Ross Jordan LBSW, MA, Life Coach

Krystal P. Ross Jordan is the Founder and CEO of Elite Promises, dedicating her career to empowering individuals, families, and communities to navigate systems, overcome barriers, and build pathways toward stability, wellness, and long-term success through education, mentorship, and access to life-changing resources.
Originally from St. Louis, Missouri, Krystal is a proud graduate of Tennessee State University in Nashville, Tennessee, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Social Work with a minor in Psychology. She later obtained her Master’s degree from Argosy University in Nashville. Committed to advancing mental health advocacy and holistic empowerment, she is currently pursuing licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC-MHSP) and is under active clinical supervision.
As a visionary leader, Krystal founded Elite Promises to create sustainable solutions that uplift underserved communities through empowerment workshops, mentorship programs, and resource navigation. Her leadership reflects a deep commitment to faith, service, and transformational impact—equipping individuals with the mindset, tools, and support needed to thrive personally, professionally, and within their communities.

Dr. Krystal D. Fortney
Board Member
Dr. Krystal Fortney holds a Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision and serves as Director of Youth and Young Adult Mental Health Initiatives for the Tennessee Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services, where she oversees statewide early-intervention programs. She is a National Certified Counselor (NCC) and a Licensed Professional Counselor with Mental Health Service Provider designation and approved supervisor in Tennessee. With over a decade of experience in mental health, Dr. Fortney brings expertise across clinical practice, program leadership, research, training, and systems-level advocacy. She is also the CEO and Founder of Eden Eman Counseling & Consulting and brings a strong commitment to equity, empowerment, and community-centered care to her role on the Elite Promises Board.

Ogochukwu Igweonu
Board Member
Ogochukwu Igweonu holds a Bachelor of Science in Mass Communication and dual law degrees (LLB & BL in Law). She practiced general, criminal, civil & family law in Nigeria, building a strong foundation in advocacy, justice, and legal service.
She brings over 17 years of experience in Intellectual and Developmental Disability programs, serving as a Program Manager and Assistant Director, where she has supported individuals and families through systems of care. In addition, she has provided six years of conservatorship support, offering oversight and decision-making assistance for individuals requiring structured guidance and protection. Her work reflects a deep commitment to service, dignity, and community empowerment.


Assata Dessaline
Board Member
Assata Dessaline is an accomplished aerospace engineer and nonprofit leader with over 17 years of experience in aviation safety and complex systems leadership. She studied Electrical and Computer Engineering at Morgan State University and currently serves as an Aerospace Engineer with the Federal Aviation Administration.
Grounded in faith and purpose, Assata is the Founder and President of Fostering Visionaries Foundation, supporting vulnerable youth and families through housing and empowerment initiatives, and a Co-Founder of Viramaya SK8 Lyfe, a national mobile skate and wellness program promoting youth engagement and community connection. She brings strategic insight, integrity, and a deep commitment to community impact to nonprofit leadership.
Douglas Jordan
Board Member
Douglas Jordan is a dedicated public servant and community leader with nearly two decades of service with the Metropolitan Fire Department, where he currently serves as a District Fire Chief. A graduate of Tennessee State University with a degree in Business Information Systems, he brings thoughtful leadership, operational insight, and integrity to his work.
Rooted in faith, family, and service, Douglas is a committed father who believes in strengthening communities through stewardship, accountability, and compassionate leadership. His heart for service and deep commitment to protecting and uplifting others make him a valued contributor to mission-driven nonprofit work.


Adra Glenn
Board Member
Adra Glenn is a community-centered entrepreneur and advocate committed to financial empowerment and social impact. She is the Founder of ASG Tax Service & Consulting, where she provides professional tax services, budgeting support, financial guidance, and educational resources to individuals and families.
She is also the Founder of the Joshua Burns Foundation, established in honor of her son’s legacy, bringing awareness to gun violence prevention, safety, and community healing. Adra leads with heart, integrity, and purpose—transforming pain into meaningful impact and service.
Tiffannie Porter
Board Member
Tiffannie Porter holds both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Elementary Education, as well as a Master’s degree in School Counseling. With 27 years of experience as a school educator, she has served diverse city and county school districts, primarily supporting minority and low-income communities. Her career reflects a deep commitment to educational equity, student advocacy, and empowering children and families through guidance, access, and compassionate support.


Kim Bly
Kim Bly was born in Burbank, California, and brings a lifetime of dedication to supporting children and families. A devoted family woman and woman of faith, Kim has over 30 years of experience working with children, most recently serving as a Site Director through the YMCA within local school systems. She is known for her creativity, energy, and fun approach to engaging children, helping them learn, grow, and thrive in supportive environments. Kim’s passion for youth development and community impact makes her a valued member of the Elite Promises board.
